Denim & Legacy: Reimagining Monumentality This project explores the intersection of fashion, history, and monumentality through the creation of a unique flag made from denim. Inspired by the legacy of Levi Strauss, the flag features an illustrated statue of Strauss, paying tribute to his impact on denim culture and its influence on global identity. By combining the themes of ‘statues’ and ‘denim,’ this work challenges traditional ideas of commemoration, transforming fabric into a symbolic monument. The project reflects on how materials shape cultural narratives and invites viewers to reconsider the way we honor influential figures.
